This third volume of "Jazz à la Gitane" pays tribute to Django the composer, the prolific author of over a hundred pieces, some of them well-known and often-performed, others more secret and less-frequently mentioned, and sometimes brought up-to-date by new jazzmen conquered by the Reinhardt universe. Without Django, these melodies obviously take on a vastly different dimension, close to that of the American "standards": tunes that the whole jazz world can shape as it pleases.
