Stan Getz and Oscar Peterson were mainstays of the Verve catalog. They often appeared together at Jazz At The Philharmonic concert performances and each attained great popularity as both leader and sideman. This memorable session was their first and only meeting in the recording studio as co-leaders. The drummer-less rhythm section gives the music a distinctly different sound.
