Since the release of my last CD,»Brein’s World« (September 2010), I haven’t been completely inactive – I’ve written a number of new pieces and pushed myself to achieve new creative feats … What I’m referring to is »Fire«, to the fire of innovation and creativity that burns on and that yearns to assert itself in music and other forms of expression – but also to the passionate fire of music making, which burns uncontrollably in me and my fellow musicians. In addition, we are living in an extremely exciting and fascinating time in which the difficulties we face provoke creativity – if an economic and financial crisis means more creativit y, more groundbreaking i deas, more people who want to change our world for the better, then the crisis is fine by me!
