Paul Kuhn, who was born in Wiesbaden in 1928, already played the accordion on the stage of Berlin’s “Funkausstellung” (Broadcast Exhibition), when he was just 8 years old. In the mid-40’s her formed his first band, and from that time on he has been discovering his great affection for swinging jazz, a passion he has been filled with ever since. Since his performances at the German Jazz Festival Frankfurt in 1954 and 1955, he established himself as a well-known band leader and arranger on the German and the international market of music.
Among other projects, Swingtime – The Original Arrangements 2 - is the SDR Big Band’s second swing production with Paul Kuhn.
