Benkó Dixieland Band – History of Benkó Dixieland Band.
The richly illustrated story is about successes, great encounters, artistic credo and an unbroken carreer over 50 years. Separate chapters acquaint the reader with details of the birth and reception of an outstanding work, the Christmas Mass.
The book contains an attachment of 3 CDs and a CD-ROM. Two of the CDs feature the Mass. In one, the music is conbined with a religious service delivered by a dean of the Evangelical Church, the other is without liturgy. The third CD carries the top BDB hits of the 50 year jubilee concert.
The CD-ROM is of special interest. It contains a data library including all the major milestones of BDB history, the fifty years in numbers, a detailed description of all the group's major compositions, a description of the Christmas Mass CDs, a complete list of all the songs ever released in the performance of the BDB and the awards received. It also includes the complete music of the Christmas Mass from the conductor's score to those of the various parts. These scores can be printed out with the help of the CD-ROM in any number of copies.
