Dezember are five musicians from Austria and Germany, who included mostly traditional arrangements of christmas carols on this new production. The formation felt the need to arrange and record this music harmonious in itself without asserting claims of christmassy critics or dispraise of cultural good. „We are quite familiar with these pieces of music from childhood on and have tried to translate them into our own musical language." The predominately jazzy arrangements and the resulting improvisations have great influence on the recordings.
