About The CD – TRIBUTO

Recently I experienced a multitude of emotions caused by the unexpected departure of some of our revered masters and teachers.
I felt an urge to honor some of those musical giants. I suddenly realized that the central theme and concept for my next SonCafe project had to be a heartfelt TRIBUTE to the music of those icons.

The opening theme is an original song that I co-wrote with Lino Iglesias and it describes in it's lyrics the projects intent and program contents. All other tracks are anthological medleys of individual artists hits. Yes you read correctly every tune is a medley. This was a blast recording and it's quite unique in of itself.
You can probably tell how excited I am about SonCafe's second recorded endeavor "Tributo". I am also certain you will be equally pleased after listening to our Tribute to these celebrated icon figures of our musical heritage. Ray Barretto said it best "Que Viva La Musica"
