The pieces you hear are world premiere recordings and have not been played since Lehárs death in 1948.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the death of Franz Lehár Karl Macourek wants to draw the attention to his early undiscovered piano music.

Karl Macourek, born in Vienna 1960 started to study piano with Prof. Hans Schwestka at the age of 7 and later with Prof. Björn Maseng / Vienna Conservatory he was trained as répétiteur and accompanist of wellknown artists in Austria and other countries.
